I have had the same darn problem on our digger. I was pulling it back and it would not come off.
Don't know why I really miss the old ones with the push button slider. But even that my lundell chopper works great on the old tractors, M and WD45 but on the newest ones I have to beat it on and off with a hammer.
Have the ball bearing type on the corn planter pump and every year to take it off we have to disassemble it no matter how much you lube it before hand.
