If it is a fender mount tractor radio many of them had switches on the bottom or rear to set the radio for + or - ground or 6 or 12 volt.
if the radio is strictly - ground There are little converter/inverter boxes avalible that will convert6 or 12 volt + or - ground to 6 0r 12 volt - ground. they should still be avalible from radio shack or other electronics stores. I used to install them when installing CB radios on 6V or pos ground veicles. another method would be to convert the tractor to - ground.Just a matter of switching the connections at the battery, switching the wires on the amp guage and repolorizing the generator.
