Internal Gas Tank coating

My gas tank is not leaking but the gas is getting quite a bit of rust in it and if it gets worse I fear it will (and probably already has) clog up my carb. I heard about a paint or some kind of coating to use to prevent this. Can anyone give me advice on using it and where to get it? My tractor sits under a tarp and this is not helping this problem either. My tractor is a 1961 JD1010. Thanks.
