I don't pretend to know the future. However, I did hear some interesting things in the news last week.
Both China and India are discontinuing government subsidies of gasoline. In both those countries the government has been paying to keep gas affordable for their citizens, artificially lowering the price per gallon. With the recent rise in oil/gas prices they can no longer afford to do so. I think this has already begun and is part of the reason global demand has lessened in the past few weeks and prices have fallen some.
I believe those scientists who have said we have hundreds of years supply left, and also those who say that Global Warming is a farce.
As far as how long we humans survive, I leave that up to God. I'm more concerned with how long our Democracy survives at this point.
