I'd like to find one of those cast plates from a Bucyrus-Erie crane or drilling rig. Somewhere I saw a picture of one of my Grandfather's drill rigs and it had a large Bucyrus-Erie cast plate on it. I have a plate off a huge milling machine that an old guy scrapped out that says 'Earl A Thompson Manufacturing Co.' The old guy told me this was the same company that pioneered the Thompson machine gun, or 'Tommy gun'.
