Offshore drilling will not make an immediate impact on current crude or fuel prices. Even when we begin to bring that oil in for our own consumption I don't think it will make much of an impact because by then prices will be even higher unless the government allows more refineries to be built.
One thing that baffles me about energy is why don't we use nuclear power more. I understand that the three mile island incident was a big deal but that was almost thirty years ago and our technology has improved imensely. Just my opinion
