I used to throw shotput, one morning, was on the first 2 stops, me and another kid noticed something heavy rolling around in the back of the bus, he had no idea what it was, when I saw what it was, I could not resist, was a HS regulation weight shotput in a nylon holder, must have been left by a track team, so I made it mine and used it all through high school at every meet I competed in, even gave it a silver paint job, named it the silver comet. Still have it today, later that year my friend, (the other rider) went missing, some perv got to him when he was walking home from his summer job at a local farm, they found him badly decomposed a few weeks later, never found the perpetrator to this day, still out there among us, I think of this everytime I see a shotput.
