Heated cab, 4 way power,---real nice!
Open tractor, 15 below, nasty wind, armstrong lift (manual ) not so nice!
BUT--- 4 WD trucks like to eat money,parts and time, plowing is wicked hard on them, and if they have been plowed much there is probably not much left. I figure a plow truck ( or my old landcruiser) is only gonna be good for just so many years. A tractor, if you don,t beat, it will probably still plow for your grandkids.
I plow with a Farmall A. I take my time and it works just fine. Being able to see all 4 wheels makes it easier to keep from falling in to the swamp. and the small size/maneuverability make it easy to "bulldoze" the snow banks into the swamp when they get too big.
