Condition/Concern: The 3.5 LX5 engine may exhibit an engine lifter tick type noise. Further diagnosis may reveal no or low oil pressures to the cylinder heads.
Recommendation/Instructions: Remove the balance shaftvalley cover and inspect the balance shaft bearings for damage. If damaged balance shaft bearings are found, the engine assembly should be replaced as the balance shaft bearings are not serviceable.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. iced.
