What a lot of us have done is cut the tie rod end off the old one and weld a new one on. Costs about $30 plus your time. I've done it to two tractors now a 3000 and a 3400. Both use the same tie rod end as the rear one on a non power steering 3000. I like to do a little grinding and add some bondo to make them look good. Here's a photo of one on my 3000.
