You could have ice in the trans. Look under the trans case and loosen the drain plug. If you loosen it and nothing comes out, try to remove the plug. water goes to the bottom. If you hvae ice, I have found that a portible heater aimed at the trans. caes for a couple of hours, does a good job at melting the ice. If you fine it is not water, take the shifter out and make sure that all the shifter rails are in the nutral position.
