Well since you have allready been burnt and are gun shy I'm going to tell you to stay away from the JD 2 cyl. diesel models. Most of these were ran hard until they fell apart then ran some more ! They just run with so many problems and were seldom fixed correctly. I might say something like a MF 35 or 135 with a Perkins engine would be good to start on as parts for Perkins were about as cheap as they get.
