If you put any hardner in it at all it will eventually set up but I would use heat of some sort, maybe a blow dryer or a heat gun used to remove paint. Over the last 50 years I have had lots of experience with fiberglas including putting a new layer of glass on the bottom of my 48 ft salboat. Polyester resin sets up fast and cures hard but does not have the strength and durability of epoxy resin. Epoxy is not only stronger but also is 50 times more waterproof that polyesters. One thing to remember epoxy sticks better to everything but polyesters will not stick well to epoxy. Nuff said Henry
