After about 10 minutes of hard running my IH tractor seems to start cutting out. I thought about changing the coil out. I checked the fuel and I have plenty in the tank, at the pump and at the carb. I checked the bowl and carb. jet and found nothing so now I'm thinking electrical. Now for the question: Since I ran a small engine shop, I have a 12v Kohler coil on the shelf. I know that I always heard don't use a car coil on a small engine or it would burn the points up. Common sense would tell me that the Kohler coil would not have the capacity that a 4 cyl IH tractor needs. So I am here with the question for anyone who knows for sure or would I just be wasting my time. I am just as cheap as the next and I do have it on the shelf. Thanks, Gary
