I have a 1952 Super M in which I just replaced the starter switch. It is a positive ground system (6 volt). When I go to crank the motor it gets cherry red hot at the connections from the battery (negative) that"s connected to the starter switch and begins frying it just before it cranks. Once it starts it stops and cools down. Do I need to look at a thicker gauge cable. The current one is a top post regular battery cable.
