You're probably right about the auger not doing its job! The hay is slick and the fork can't pull it into the chamber. The grass was cut with a swather so I windrowed it with a side delivery rake so it would wind the hay up like a rope...but that didn't help. I also tried putting two rows together but that didn't help either.
You mentioned adding lock washers to the flighting...hmmmm that sounds like something to try! Would you mind elaborating a bit more on how you did that?
