Even in the event that an accident occurs and you become the "patient" (as opposed to being the "victim")...As an EMT, we have what we call the "golden hour" (the time period from when an accident occurs, to the time a patient arrives at a qualified care facility, like a trauma center) and the "platinum ten minutes" (the time that first response arrives on the scene until the time the patient is packaged for transport). In farm accidents, that time period is multiplied an average of 5 times. Often the accident occurs and nobody is there to call 911 and nobody notices until you are late for dinner, it can be hours before you are found pinned under or in that equipment. Also, when you are talking a 12000lb cast iron tractor as opposed to a 4000 sheetmetal auto, extrication can take hours instead of minutes. As these time periods lengthen, survivability goes down. I only say this in the hope that you guys stop and think, both now, and when you are operating machinery. A little safety upfront can prevent the accident from occurring and keep you from becomeing a "patient", or whose yet, a "victim".
