Don't remember the model number, but think our Gilson was called a Corporal. Front tines, well balanced 3 1/2hp Briggs. Rear tine was on a swivel, but we removed it and never really used it with the tine. The reverse had a round belt, and made a figure "8" to reverse. Pulling the clutch lever back tightened the reverse belt. Pushing forward, and locking it over the handle barrs tightened the forward belt. Does yours have two belt pulleys on engine, drive shives? Probably had reverse. As I remember the reverse belt wasn't long lived.
