If you want a cheap digital receiver, buy an old Directv HD receiver on Ebay. Most of them will receive the local DTV channels and you do not need to subscribe to DirecTv to get them. Best of all, they will receive the widescreen high-definition sigal as well, which I think the coupon boxes will not. The Sony SAT-HD100, 200 and 300 are an example of these. Also the RCA DTC100 HD. In many cases, you can get one of these for less than you would pay for the converter boxes, even with a coupon!
