Yes the young turkey is a poult.And its that time of year.The wife and i were sitting on the deck this morning and saw a hen with six poults.She eased her way up the creek bottom that joins our back yard.The survival rate for young turkey is very low.She was being very cautious and made her way across the roadway at the bridge and into the woods with her young.
