I was just thinking. The Dubuque carbs adjust in for rich and out for lean, opposite to most. As previously stated. Hurling Champion plugs as far away as possible and installing Autolite 216 or 473"s will improve things.
A set of solid core wires and a new dist bushing won"t hurt either. Which way is the coil and battery polarity? The battery + should be to chassis. The coil - goes to ignition and + to points.
