After getting behind with hay from all the rain and some problems with equipment, I've decided to give up baling as a sideline. Luckily, there was a farmer that does baling on a large scale that was able to step right in and will take over baling for my one neighbor with the 30 acre field. It just wasn't worth the physical and mental stress, The day job and just taking care of the family is enough. I will miss the (few) times everything went right, and there was a wagon full of nice hay, along with that great smell of fresh hay and the satisfaction of doing one of the most honorable proffesions. So all the equipment will be sold off, Except for the M, but I'll have the memories and some pics. Vintage stuff is fun to run for a hobby, but hard to make money with, at least I don't owe on anything. I'm glad I don't have to feed the kids that way, got to be tough for you guys who have to spend your lives with an eye to the sky, wondering what the money is gonna be like this year.
