Yep, BTDT. I had a "friend" who came over a month or 2 ago, insisted on driving my new(er) mower i just got. A little wierd but i said go for it. He has fun with that for an hour or two then decides he has to go home. Then we agree on an old engineless mower for a good battery for my new mower. He doesnt have money for that and talks his dad out of a battery, which he brings over. I get battery and help them load up the mower. LAter find out i got a dead core, as thats what he told his dad to bring. And i find out he ran over one of my moms expensive trees (something like $60) which diddnt survive. He tells me to pay for it and he'll reemburse me. I do and find out he refuses to pay me, so i ate a damn tree. Moral of the story-dont trust anyone. And when i do decide i have $30 to kill on a new battery for the now parked mower i wont humor strange requests to drive it.
