Ok here is the scoop.
Most farm ground is very soggy around here but still above flood level. We got another 3" or so of rain last nite.
The heaviest flooding is down stream from the dam in Iowa City and Coralville cause the water is going over the spillway and that ain't suppose to ever happen.
I have about 10 acres under water now above the dam (corn ground). My pastures are on higher ground as well as all the buildings. This is all from the Iowa River.
The flooding in Cedar Rapids is from the cedar river and there is no dams on the cedar.
The railroad bridge that went down in Cedar Rapids is causing water to back up a little deeper above it.
I 80 is closed were the Cedar River crosses it down stream from CR.
