Can't argue with what you say about the auto radios only designed to run for 1/2 hour, never heard that, is that actually true?
If it is true, I won't tell the radio in the shop because then it will quit working. It came out of an 84 Chevrolet Celebrity and has been running 40 hours a week since 1993. Sometimes more if it is just left on.
