Harris is owned by Lincoln, Purox is owned by Esab and I'm not sure if someone else took over Airco. Harris and Purox are still available and easy to get tips and parts for. You can still get 2 stage regulators, but I don't think you really need them for over 95% of the jobs you'll do. Victor, Purox, Smith or Harris would be a good choice. Go to a welding supply and see which one you like the best and is the most comfortable for you. A lot of it is personal preference. I prefer Purox but a lot of people like Victor or Smith.
