Well Tell you what I got a John Deere Lawn tractor model 212 which has a 12 H.P. Kohler and a 48 inch deck on it..I have 5 acres to mow and other than replacing deck belts nothing has gone rong with it yet.Now just think of this I bought it about18 or 20 years ago for $1,800 from our local John Deere dealer other than replacing those belts have not put one cent into repairs..I agree that if you can fine a good used older tractor that might be the way to go. I dont know how these newer ones hold up cause I never owned one..Good HUNTING!
