Belt Dressing

They use to make a belt dressing for large Oilfield flat belts for pumping powers. Cling Surface was the name. It came in a yellow and black spout can. It might still be made . Was good stuff. In a pinch I have used an inner tube and burnt it over the belt while running. Effective, but smokey. An eco-nut's nightmare. I have used gear shield made for cushoning and lubricating open gears also. Works good, if asphalt based.
