I am using sets of Duo-grip chains and double
double ring sets on Ford 3000 so can give some
input. They both can work well as they come. The
double rings do bite in better in the sloppy going
and in ruts and mud. The way the double ring
chains come they are rougher riding at travel
speed. I have modified my double ring chains by
adding an extra cross link between each that came
on the chain. Thus I am always on chain. Rides
smoother, better constant traction as the tire
isnt climbing on to the cross chain, and I feel a
great improvement that is worth the extra cost.

Just my opinion.
