Winfield, Ks and the area around it got hit pretty hard with straight line winds. It blew hard enough that one of the brick buildings in town was badly damaged. There is a picture of it on the Winfield Courier website. South of town there were wind gusts over 100 MPH. My place is west of town and I missed the worst of it. It was still dark when I left this morning and I haven't been home yet today to look around.
