We hired a pull type chopper and dump trucks. This was first used by us in 1949 and filling the old way was cutting by hand and loading wagons and a truck. It was then fed into a silage cutter and blown into the silos. Used a 10-20 McCormick-Deering tractor on the belt. Took about 3 weeks to fill 2 silos. With the chopper and trucks about 3 days.
