early 7800 had problems with the electronics in the gearbox, the one i drove used to jump gears when changing gear and the park in the gearbox was not recommended to be used (something wasn't right in it),why doesn't a lot of american machinery have mechanical park brakes??
the caseih magnums gave problems with the park mechanism too, once engaged on some tractors it was hard to get out, but that is a different topic
