Yes they do. What I thought was real funny is how #1 had good compression but it also had a broken valve spring on the exhaust valve. And the way it was broken was also very odd. Some how it have worked its way up and over the keeper cap. I ended up having to spin the spring up and off the valve keeper cap to get the keepers out so I could replace the spring
