Just playing the role of devil's advocate here. If the engine has 5000 hrs. then the separator has probably about 4200 or more hours on it. I own a 1680 with a lot less hours that I would be hard pressed to get 20000 for. The condition of the rest of the combine is the question in your case. Mine has the 466 which I expect will outlast the rest of the combine.
