I just had the big starter for my IH 806 rebuilt. As I was tightening the battery cable onto the post, I was a little too strong when tightening, and broke the plastic cap on the end of the solenoid.
It is perfectly clean and I have all the pieces- so I'm going to try to super glue it together tomorrow. I wonder if this has any chance of working...I have haying to do!
Can you buy just this part of a solenoid? I doubt it- probably will need a new one.
