Heard about a situation in a remote area, with no hydrants- neighbor of the fire victim had a big swimming pool, with a very ornate masonry and cedar fence, nicely landscaped on both sides. Fire guy knocked on his door, said we need water from your pool, is there any way to get to it with our truck? Rich pool guy said, "Certainly- you've got a sturdy back bumper on your truck- just back up across my lawn and back through the fence, take all the water you want. Get a good run at it so you knock most of the stuff out of the way. Desperate times call for desparate measures- me and the neighbor will worry about the fence damage later." He can be my neighbor anytime.
