Travis, I don't know how much you have heard what they do to these tractors but this idea may scare you. After you put new pistons in it if it needs to be bored. Probably alum High compression. Call Keith Merfeld,319-582-8710. He can lengthen your rods by welding two together.They do it all the time to the stroker motors without failure.It will give you a hell of alot more compression than shaving the head.About $30.00 a rod. Before you do a valve job, take a die grinder and port the head,smooth out the bumps in the casting and you can remove around an 1/8" material without going through.Flare the eyebrow that partially covers the Intake valve. Keith may help you with figuring a compression ratio for your rod length. You can take that A over 200 psi.easily but will have to run high octane gas.Also so make sure you have the later gas manifold. I wouldn't be afraid of used overbore pistons to save money.
