Right after the big oil companies merged, Exxon/mobil and Chevron/texaco prices jumped up....Right. Crude has spiked due to a weak dollar and speculators running the price up. Also India and China want cars putting more demand on crude oil. All of these factors make crude prices go up. If the US congress had any 8alls they would make the big oil companies break up and create competition which would lower the price somewhat. Also with prices being so high because demand is very high then one must assume that there would be shortages in the certain areas of the country but....there isnt.
Main problem---gasoline prices wont stablize and the oil companies are making billions off of us---I call that Gouging.
