It doesnt really matter which tower on the cap you designate as #1 as long as they go in the proper order in the right direction. If you know the firing order of the engine. Take the first firing cylinder and just connect it to the cap. Take the second fire (not the second cylinder) and plug it in next in the correct direction and so on. The main reason people mark the cap is for firing order. It doenst really matter where you start. Hope this is clear...good luck Kim
