Funny story about rebar... when I was a little bit younger a buddy ( 1dollar) and I were making a bracket for an SMV sign out of rebar. I did the same thing, cut it about half way and thought I'd just bend it the rest of the way. Well it didnt just bend it snapped and the jagged break went right into my arm, taking out a rather large chunk o' skin. Not the best feeling in the world, but I guess I learned something from it. I aslo worked in the concrete business for a while and saw many guys learn that rebar doesnt bend like one would expect it just snaps.
