I get mine filled at the bulk plant, I've got a pair of 52 gallon Delta tanks. Each state is different on state taxes. Here, I have the state permits so they take the state taxes off before I get it. As to fed taxes, at one time it was 50 gallons min. My distributor treats it as one transaction since I get more than 50 gallons a month and he bills me once a month. You can get off-road gas, but, at least here the tax has to be refunded instead of taken off up front.
