As best as I can figure I planted 5.5-6 50# bags, with 2870 seeds per pound. This feild is between 6-7 acres. My math shows with 90% germination I could have anywhere from 101,000-129,000. Its a funny shaped feild. I tried to set the drill according to the book, but it seemed to heavy, so I kept backing it off until I thought I had 4-5 seeds per foot(12"rows). Learning year for me. Sucks cause I have 3 bags of innoculated seed left. I think I planted to sparse. The variety is supposed to be medium-short height and bushy. Renk RS107RR. Is over seeding later an option if too thin?
