Used to work for Gehl. Helped test some of the 1st swing drawbar disc-bines they made. Most of their stuff is pretty well built and tested. However, I never used one other than testing though so you'll have to ask others on long term actual use. The cutter bars are Kuhn. Keep the cutter bar full of oil. The early one we tested had some blow down on alfalfa. Not sure if they fixed that. There is a "sweet" spot in ground speed and engine (PTO) speed that helped the blow down. We mowed 6ft grass in Calf. with no issues (other than grass wrapping on the MFWA drive shaft). Also remember Gehl has quit making farm equipment. Not sure how the parts are being supported now. Good luck.
