Most likely it's the "old sneaky hose" failure trick. The inner liner of the hose can come loose and a chunk of it plug the line.
If one hose has failed, every other hose is just a sold and just as rotten. Replaced every single hydraulic hose on the 1640 and 240 loader last year. Even improved the speed of operation by going to 1/2" hose. Didn't cost more than a few bucks extra either.
