There is such a thing as a box extension; made by B-line, if I'm not mistaken. I've used them before; perfectly acceptable for Ntl. Code. Ask an electrical supply place if they have them or can order them. I don't have my catalog, so I'm not sure of the part number. It's just a piece of metal that sleeves the outlet and the existing box, ensuring that no sparks can fall into the siding (or that no mice can enter/eat the wiring). I doubt Home Depot or Lowes would have them. It is important that you have grounding receptacles to ensure a proper ground with them, otherwise use a grounding wire from the existing bow to the outlet. Kurt
