I dont know about your area but the beans I have seen planted too early here in central IL dont turn out to good. They need about 24 hours in nice warm ground in order to take up moisture to start germination. If they take up cold moisture, its bad, real bad. If it cools off after they get started they can get beat up with disase. The first beans to emerge in the neighborhood are likely to be a home to every bad insect as they are hungry and with no other beans emerged, they will be pretty agressive. I suppose it is different everywhere but here beans planted when they shouldnt be can be a disaster. bill
