The pulley I am talking about that I welded was a different pully. I am thinking that it was the pulley that ran the hydrostatic pump, in fact the more I think about it, I am sure that is the one. I did the welding ont he outside, after hand filling a "V". I even sanded it by hand inside, where the belt ran to make sure there was no sharp edge to cut the belt. It didn't line up perfectly, hence the need for the sanding, but it ran for years.
And, unless it has been scrapped, it was still running up until a year or so ago. 1972 or 1973 model, straight F, but a corn soybean special, with hydrostat. Gas powered unfortunately.
