Trucker, I don't think welding is needed in this case, Allans luck being like mine, it would put the thing outta balance and throw out the bearings. Sounds like My luck today Allan. Tore up my boots, bent up a piece of 1/4 inch steel plate that is a skid plate for the skid steer, and had to replace a one horse motor on a fan to save a service and had to call some one anyway because the plug burnt up and I didn't know it. Kinda doubt the motor was bad, although it did sound as if one of the bearings was going.
