Hours on tractors..

What would be an acceptable number of hours on a late model tractor to you guys? For instance, an IH-Case 885...What hours would you consider a worn out one? I realize it depends on the care the tractor has seen, and condition is key, too.. I am looking to buy one to resell, and have to choose between one with 2000 hours at a high price and one with 5000 hours at a low price.....With all else being equal, would the hours on the more used one scare a buyer away?
Any thoughts?
