I don't understand why some farms in Pa get payed not to farm. One farmer not to far from here was renting land next door to his property, and the government offered more per acre to the land owner that this farmer could pay in rent. This case did not happen only because the farmer and land owner has been friends for many years. The old widower, that owns the land enjoys seeing his land being farmed. and likes the farmers wife's cooking on special holidays.----I would say this not the norm tho. I just don't understand how they can pay people not to farm, and in the next breath say were having a food shortage. --- 6mo. ago it cost me 49.13 to fill mt S10 now it's 62.56 so I know your cost has risen also.---Fuel, seed, machinery, and supplies to crow crops are not getting any cheaper either, ---So no I don't blame the farmers,as they are in the same boat the rest of us are. I just can't see an end to these circumstances in my lifetime. I can see a time farmers will be sitting in their fields at night with guns protecting them from people that are only hungry. and no longer afford to buy groceries, because there is no jobs left for the elderly on a fixed income. No other work like most of our factories.---Soon no work at fast food resturants,or any types of conviences, we take for granted. Two MOM and POP resturants within 10 mi of here closed this spring already. They had a very good business but couldn't keep prices down. What next???

Top that off with an old set of '36 Ford headlight shells bolted to the hood. Pretty unlikely for a car... but for a tractor, this is pretty normal. It seems that more often than not they a
